Our Self Guided Walking services 

Discover the beauty of a walking tour at your own pace 

At Great Walks of New Zealand, we are passionate about the outdoors and getting you walking amongst it to explore all the remarkable beauty that New Zealand has to offer.

Unlike any other activity, walking allows you to get up close and personal with the landscape of a region and to explore it under your own steam, savouring and appreciating it as it was intended to be appreciated. 

Walking also provides you the chance to exercise, fill your lungs with fresh air, build up your fitness, lose weight, de-stress and re-centre your mind and body, leaving your feeling refreshed and calmer than when you first began. Sharing the experience with your friends, loved ones or a guided group of like-minded travellers will provide wonderful life-time memories and will leave you wanting to plan your next walking adventure.

Great Walks of New Zealand offer several services for the independent walkers that allow you to find your inner compass and explore New Zealand at your own pace.  From pre-booked accommodation, to luggage transfers, meals and more, we look after the logistics, so you don’t have to.  All you need to do is grab your walking shoes and hit the trails!
