Meal plans for hassle free walking

Taking in local produce and taking out the worry of meals on tour.

Any sort of exercise is incomplete if you don’t have the right sustenance.  Getting out on a walking tour requires the right nutrition and a happy belly to make it a truly enjoyable experience.  We don’t want you getting ‘hangry’, so our trips provide you with meal plans and added options, taking the worry out, and putting the local produce in.

The meals on offer will vary largely according to your chosen walk.  When your trip has you staying in DOC huts or private huts, options for meals along the trails are extremely limited and we will provide you with camping food that can be easily prepared and carried in your pack for breakfast and dinner.

Lunches are generally a self-catered option for most of the trips, allowing you the chance to purchase what you are wanting to eat each day and allowing you the chance to taste local, seasonal produce on offer in the regions around New Zealand at your own choosing.

Dinner will either be provided camp meals in the huts, a restaurant meal of your own choosing or a private, chef catered set menu dependant on your chosen walk. 

Please refer to our trip notes for your meal inclusions and added options when selecting your tour. Dietary requirements can in most cases be catered for provided we have enough notice, so please talk to us about these when you book your walk.
