Know before you go.

Having a successful trip is all about being prepared for it, physically and mentally. An important part of trip preparation is our pre-departure information.

Our detailed trip notes, trip gradings and our expert team are all on hand to assist you making your initial decision of which trip might be best suited to you.

Once you book, we will send out some further reading material for your set departure including further information on what to expect on the trip, information regarding where you will be visiting, ideas for extra reading, gear lists etc. All the little things that will help with making your end journey thoroughly enjoyable.

With many of our self-guided walks, we will send out your documents, (including more detailed route notes, maps etc) 3-4 weeks prior to your departure. Some, however, will have all the information ready for you on arrival at your first accommodation. If you are on a trip with a meal plan, your meals will be delivered to your first accommodation ready for your arrival. Simply check with reception when you check in.

For guided departures, the beauty is that you won’t need maps and our guides will be giving you a trip briefing when you arrive or before starting day one so that you are well aware what to carry and what to expect day to day.

Our aim is to have you feeling as comfortable as possible about your walk ahead and well aware of what to expect. Of course, any questions along the way, and our team of experts are ready to assist you, so just ask.
